The following list includes other groups and organizations who share our commitment to global transformation. We divide this list into three sections: Peace, Sustainability, and Balance. If you would like to add a group to this list, please post information on the Forum page, including the name and e-mail address of a facilitator or contact person, as well as meeting times and locations if applicable. Peace
International Peace Bureau (http://www.ipb.org) is a Nobel Prize-winning coalition made up of 282 groups in 70 countries that work together to address common concerns.
Sustainability
Alliance for Climate Protection (http://www.wecansolveit.org), is a nonprofit, nonpartisan effort founded by Nobel laureate and former Vice President Al Gore, that has its ultimate aim to halt global warming. The alliance is educating people in the US and around the world that the climate crisis is both urgent and solvable.
Arcosanti (http://www.arcosanti.org) is an experimental town in the high desert of Arizona, 70 miles north of metropolitan Phoenix, designed according to the concept of arcology (architecture + ecology), developed by Italian architect Paolo Soleri.
Biomimicry Institute (http://www.biomimicryinstitute.org) is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to nurture and grow a global community of people who are learning from, emulating, and conserving life's genius to create a healthier, more sustainable planet.
Bioneers (http://www.bioneers.org) is a nonprofit organization that promotes practical environmental solutions and innovative social strategies for restoring the Earth and communities.
Center for a New American Dream (http://www.newdream.org) helps Americans consume responsibly to protect the environment, enhance quality of life, and promote social justice.
Coalition for Clean Air (http://www.coalitionforcleanair.org) is committed to restoring clean, healthy air to all of California and strengthening the environmental movement by promoting broad-based community involvement, advocating responsible public policy and providing technical expertise.
Communities for a Better Environment (http://www.cbecal.org) is a social justice organization with a focus on environmental health and justice.
David Suzuki Foundation (http://www.davidsuzuki.org) works to find ways for society to live in balance with the natural world that sustains us. Focusing on four program areas – oceans and sustainable fishing, climate change and clean energy, sustainability, and the Nature Challenge - the foundation uses science and education to promote solutions that conserve nature and help achieve sustainability within a generation.
Earth Policy Institute (http://www.earth-policy.org) was founded May 2001 by Lester Brown and Reah Janise Kauffman to provide a vision of a sustainable future and a plan for how to get from here to there.
Edible Schoolyard (http://www.edibleschoolyard.org) in collaboration with Martin Luther King Jr Middle School in Berkeley, CA, provides urban public school students with a one-acre organic garden and a kitchen classroom.
ForestEthics (http://www.forestethics.org) is a nonprofit environmental organization with staff in States and Chile. Its mission is to protect endangered forests.
Founded in 1993 by activist and philanthropist Diane Meyer Simon, Global Green USA (http://www.globalgreen.org) is the American Arm of Green Cross International, which was created by Mikhail S. Gorbachev to foster a global value shift toward a sustainable and secure future by reconnecting humanity with the environment.
Global Restoration Network (http://www.globalrestorationnetwork.org) offers the field of ecological restoration a new database and web-based portal to trustworthy and hard-to-find information.
Green Worker Cooperatives (http://greenworker.coop) is a South Bronx-based organization dedicated to incubating worker-owned and environmentally friendly cooperatives.
The official site of the Green Belt Movement (http://www.greenbelt.org) and its founder, 2004 Nobel Peace Prize winner Wangari Maathai, describes grassroots environmental conservation and tree planting projects in Kenya and elsewhere.

Navdanya (http://www.navdanya.org) started as a program of the Research Foundation for Science, Technology and Ecology (RFSTE), a participatory research initiative founded by world-renowned scientist and environmentalist Dr. Vandana Shiva, to provide direction and support to environmental activism. The organization promotes farming practices that protect biodiversity, the Earth, and small farmers.

Sustainable and Obtainable Solutions (http://www.s-o-solutions.org) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the sustainability of public lands and the plant, animal and human communities that depend upon them.
TreePeople (http://www.treepeople.org) is a nonprofit organization that has been serving the Los Angeles area for over three decades. Its mission is to offer sustainable solutions to urban ecosystem problems.

Tucson, AZ: There are several Taize chant services available during the week. A Taize chant service takes place every Monday at 8pm at St Pius X church, which is located at 1800 N. Carmino Pio Decimo. From the corner of Speedway and Pantano, go north on Pantano and then take a left (west) onto Pima. The church is on the corner of Pima and Camino Peio Decimo. Energy Healing
Johrei Fellowship (http://www.johreifoundation.org/). Johrei is the practice of focusing universal energy for the sake of healing and uplifting. At Johrei centers throughout the US, volunteers offer this service to those who request it.
